A major learning activity for this term is our ‘living legends’ study. Each student has chosen an older person who is significant in their life and has used research skills to gather a range of information about their person. Our students then tell the ‘digital story’ of their person through photographs, documents, music, art and biography. This learning has been particularly rewarding for our students and some wonderful, often previously untold, family stories are being uncovered.
The living legends study is a fantastic build up to our school jubilee and supports the aims of the social studies curriculum in helping students to make connections with and celebrate the past.
