David believes that being the principal of Karapiro School is a wonderful job. He has the privilege of working with an amazing group of students, a talented staff, dedicated board and an incredibly supportive community. David has over twenty years in education including 11 as a principal and 16 as a school leader. He is proud of his students and school and the high standards of learning and behaviour that are features at Karapiro.

David is dedicated to providing the best possible education for each and every student through supporting them in their learning and providing excellent learning programmes, sporting and cultural opportunities and resources. He is determined to help to develop highly motivated, capable and independent learners ready to thrive on the next steps of their educational journey.

David also teaches in Room 2 with our amazing Year 3 and 4 students, he would be delighted to show you what makes Karapiro such a special place.
