We hope that all of our students had a restful and refreshing break and that everyone is all set for what promises to be a fantastic new term! This term we are all looking forward to our schools 125th jubilee, please click here if you still haven’t registered. We had a busy school holidays in and around Karapiro. We were well represented at the opening of the maginificent Don Rowland’s centre on the shores of Lake Karapiro. We played a DVD featuring scenes from our school, provided an art station, shared some Jump Jam moves and played maths games with the visitors to the centre! Thank you to everyone who came along to help.
We also had a busy working bee at school, replacing a retaining wall, installing new drainage and adding new metal to the driveway. We would like to thank BOT member Craig Sulzberger for coordinating the work. Ken and Craig from Onsite Concrete for donating and pouring concrete, Winstone Quarries for donating a truck load of metal. Mitre 10 for discounting the timber, McEntee Hire for lending the equipment free of charge and Craig, Scott, Jeff, Jenny, Linnet, David, Robbie and Jacob for completing the work!
